3. Google Drive Data (Cloud Sync)

Somna offers an optional feature to backup and sync your data using Google Drive.

Information we access:

If you choose to use this feature, Somna will request access to your Google Drive via the official Google Sign-In.

How we use your data:

• Storage: We upload a backup file (`somna_sleep_logs_backup.json`) to a hidden application data folder (`appDataFolder`) in your Google Drive.
• Restoration: We download this specific file to restore your sleep data across devices.
• Privacy: We cannot see or access any other files in your Google Drive. The permission is restricted strictly to files created by Somna.

Data Safety:

Your data is transferred directly between your device and Google's servers using secure encryption (HTTPS). We do not store your data on any third-party servers.
