Cooldown Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 22, 2026
Cooldown helps users monitor phone temperature and receive practical low-heat suggestions. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Data stored on your device
Cooldown stores app settings, Pro entitlement status, recent temperature samples, and the expiry time of any temporary rewarded-insights access locally on your device. This information is used to display temperature history, alerts, preferences, and the temporary 24-hour insights experience. We do not operate a server that receives this data.
Advertising and consent
The free version of Cooldown uses Google AdMob to show banner ads and optional rewarded ads. A user may choose to watch one rewarded ad to temporarily unlock the last 24 hours of temperature insights. Watching a rewarded ad does not create a Google Play purchase, activate Pro, or remove ads. Pro users do not receive these ads.
Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform may collect or process device identifiers, ad interaction data, diagnostics, and consent choices according to Google's policies. Where required, Google User Messaging Platform presents a consent flow before ads are requested. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy and Google AdMob policies.
Purchases
Cooldown Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes purchases and payments. The app stores only whether Pro is active so it can remove ads and unlock Pro features. Temporary access granted after a rewarded ad is separate from Google Play Billing and does not change your purchase status.
Permissions
Notifications are used only when you enable heat alerts or low-temperature monitoring. Write settings access is used only if you explicitly enable automatic brightness reduction. Foreground service access is used to keep temperature monitoring visible and controllable while it is running.
Children
Cooldown is not designed for children.
